Chainmail 2.0 - Modular 3D Printable Fabric.

The chainmail 2.0 consists of small identical parts that can be connected to create larger designs. You can 3D print it many times with different colors or materials and then combine them to create a multi-color chainmail.

The chainmail is available in different grid sizes: 1x1, 5x5, 10x10, 15x15 and 20x20. I highly recommend printing a small chainmail to test your 3D printer. Print the model with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0% infill.

I'm working on a large mesh to use a drying mat for dishes. I've designed edges and corners to give it a cleaner look. You can configure your own and download the files (whole mat or just edges/corners) with this Onshape Assy: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/83feddc5ed150984028fddc8/w/b967357231b7eeb77d52675c/e/ca61a3e2e4489c223204667d I'll post more pics as i make progress

Very cool! What's the value in using this for a drying mat over something else?

Amazing print and fits perfect as shelf for my mugs on the coffee machine (not slipping away and not damaging the surface of the coffee machine).
