Description

‘The Guardian’

This is my second modular saber, following 'The Master.' With this saber, I'm offering you more options to customize it according to your preferences. It comes with various emitters, shrouds, rings, pommels, end caps, buttons, and spacers. You have plenty of options to personalize it by mixing and matching parts.

Most of the parts are compatible with 'The Master,' and this compatibility will be consistent across all the modular sabers I release.

ASSEMBLY NOTES:

Select your pieces from each of the folders. You will need to choose the following:

  • 1 - Emitter Ring
  • 1 - Shroud
  • 1 - Activation Grip
  • 1 - Activation Button
  • 2 - Control Buttons
  • 2 - Control Button Collars
  • 1 - Pommel
  • 1 - Pommel End cap
  • Spacers – as many as you like. These are not threaded so you can resize them to be thinner in your slicer. This also allows you to rotate them to hide the print seam.

The remaining pieces will be outside of the folders. This consists of parts for the upper and lower grips, and the emitter pieces. Note that you will need to print 2 end caps for the upper grip.

PRINTING NOTES:

  • Everything was printed in Sunlu Silk PLA @ 0.2mm (go lower if you want to torture yourself) with 20% infill.
  • There are ZERO supports.
  • There is ZERO glue.
  • No paint needed (unless that’s your thing).

This is a straightforward print if your printer is tuned. The pics I have posted are right off the bed with no post-processing using a cheap Aquila printer. The concept is that you print it, your kids take it for a spin, they accidentally break a piece, and then you simply reprint that specific broken part instead of the whole model.

I hope you all enjoy this model. Please post pics and remix this thing! If you have any suggestions or want to see something added, let me know.

A saber made from spare parts even a Young Padawan doesn't want. A saber fit for the down on his luck Jedi. The "Ghetto Saber" don't leave Coruscant without it!

I sent you a private message not too long ago, did you ever get it? Anyhoo, I printed a hook and put it up where my sabers will go in the new home. Of course, this Saber's Jedi is so down on their luck they cant even afford a shelf!! The rest will go in shelves since I DO like their current stands. Others that I buld will go in other various places in my new office once I get all the built in desk/workspace assembled.

Thank you so much for this model, I printed it as a double blade and love everything about it. I will probably reprint the handles since I had a filament issue but everything else turned out beautiful!

After a few adjustments for the files (flipped pommel cap over in Bambu studio, moved pieces around to correct colors), I successfully printed this. I think it looks amazing, even without the orange.

Support Issue:the handle seems to need support which aren’t present in the profile. the overhang walls of the ridges print mid-air.
