ABOUT

I couldn't find reasonable GT2 pulleys that I needed for upcoming upgrades/projects so I made my own pulley generator and here I give you some pulleys.

  • Tooth profile precisely created based on GT2 belt geometry - test yourself.
  • Pulleys are designed with 0,1 mm tolerance in shaft diameter - that is great snug fit for me but if you find it too tight just use a drill bit and clear the hole (tighter fit means less wobble in the pulley).
  • Use M3 hardware to secure the pulley to shaft - either screw/setscrew or with a nut.
  • Standard version with setscrews that “bite” into the shaft.
  • More precise version with collet that is less prone to wobble on the shaft, holds more securely and is not affected by threads if you use it for example on leadscrew.

If you are looking for other shaft diameters (5, 6, 6.35, 8, 10mm), look at my other models.

Note: This is reupload of my original model from Printables.

GUIDE TO CHOOSE PROPER FILE:

     GT2_Pulley_36T_8_R_SS.stl

  • GT2_Pulley - obvious
  • _36T - teeth number
  • _8 - shaft diameter in mm
  • _R - type of shaft fitting (R=round shaft, D=D-cut - shaft with flat spot)
  • _SS - type of securing to the shaft (SS=setscrew, SN=setscrew+nut, CS=collet+screw, CSN=collet+screw+nut)

If you really like the design and/or just want to appreciate my work and time spend, you can buy me a coffee.
