Description
The original Makey Makey PCB is not very friendly to my son, and the wrist band for EARTH is ridiculous even for an adult.
So I created this! A gamepad-style case for Makey Makey!
Furthermore, I applied copper tape to the back and both sides of the case and connected it to the EARTH with a short wire. When holding the case properly, the hand naturally becomes the EARTH.
Along with the printed case, you will need a short wire for EARTH (either using a bolt and nut, or using a soldering iron) and a strip of copper tape and a few round-head M3*6 screws.
=============================================================
Makey Makey is an excellent board, perfect for young children to get started with computer programming when combined with the Scratch software. However, the board itself is poorly designed for children - exposed components, sharp edges, and a ridiculous grounding wristband.
Therefore, I developed this case that looks like a game controller. I also applied copper tape to the back of the case and connected it to the ground of the circuit board with a wire. This way, when holding the case, it naturally becomes grounded, eliminating the need for a wristband!!!
In addition to printing the case, you only need a short ground wire, a strip of copper tape, and a few round-head M3*6 screws to secure the circuit board.
