This Spool Rack is the perfect addition to your 3d printing setup! Accepts a 1'' wooden dowel. The print profile allows you to choose your own infill pattern so that you can customize it to your specific style and needs! It is a fast print at only 1.5 hours on the p1s! If you are not using the print profiles provided, the way to achieve this effect is by removing all of the top and bottom layers, so that the infill will be exposed. I increased my wall count to about 7 to still have a strong part. No supports needed!

This design worked well for me. Instead of wooden dowels (which are a little pricey) I used cheap broom handles from a supply store. I found some nice screw on ends elsewhere to act as end stops and also printed a 3rd bracket and inverted it to act as a "book end" to keep them all on. Planning to print out 3 more for my second shelf of filament. The supply seems to always keep growing!

These printed out very nice, I used Gyroid infill just because. I think they turned out real nice. Going to pick up the rod later today and will mount soon after. Thanks for sharing this.

Gyroid is actually a really smart decision, it has the most strength in each direction than any other infill

even if you did crack it, it only takes about 1.5 hours to print another one even if you needed to. depending on how it cracked, i'm guessing it'll hold up fine.

ya I cracked them putting the screws in, just went full send on the drill and thinking I had wood studs not metal in this spot in the house , mistaken I was, they just went right in instantly 😂.. both cracked at the screw right in half but it seems fine.. it's been a couple days and it's holding, if I find it to be an issue I'll replace it! for now I just need more broom sticks so I can make another 2 shelves 😂

I modified the design to accept a 1.25" wooden dowel, but otherwise this was perfect for my needs. Thank you!

2 of 3 printed perfect, unsure what happened with the 3rd, but 100% not gonna blame it on the model.

Glad you like it! The 3rd one looks like it had a bed adhesion issue. it must have warped and disconnected from the bed, but the others look great!
