Description

A remix of schneems design. This is for installing magnets into baseplates, for installing magnets into bins see this project instead.

Two problems I ran into with the original design were glue getting on the jig separator where the magnets are placed and accidentally rocking/tilting the jig when lifting up the magnet part.

This remix replaces the four cylindrical locations where the magnets are placed with some small “bumps”, which reduces the likelihood of glue getting on them, and even if glue does get on them it's less likely to cause any problems because of the reduced surface area.

The second change is that there are some small stabilizers added to the outer rim of the jig. When lifting up the magnet part of the jig, your fingers are usually holding the other part down by its edges. These stabilizers prevent the jig rocking while your fingers are pressing on those edges, which could cause problems with magnets coming out of the baseplate holes.

The magnetic part of the jig is unchanged, and I've uploaded the original file for that unchanged.

The Fusion 360 file is included if you'd like to make any changes.
