Description

Note: new & improved v2 is now available!

Insert for a standard BambuLab Spool that can be filled with silica/desiccant beads to be dried in a filament dryer.
Includes a convenient snap-in funnel for easy transfer of beads into other containers.

Fully enclosed so can be used with filament dryers like the Eibos Polyphemus that rotate the spool.

Outer diameter is deliberately smaller than the spool so there's always some distance to the heating element.

No supports needed.
Please note, it is essential to use materials that can withstand higher temperatures, such as PETG, PolyCarbonate, or similar high-grade plastics. (not PLA!) Some ABS/ASA brands may shrink causing tolerance issues if you don't calibrate slicer compensation for this.

Make sure to check the specifications of your desiccant. In my experience, it dries effectively at 70 degrees Celsius.

There's an STL for a version with thinner and more slots (1mm instead of 1.5mm for regular version) for use with smaller silica beads.
