The jumping frog
Frogs are cool and making a 3D printable version that is able to jump was a fun project, so here you go. The back legs have 3 joints just like a real frog and can store up a fair bit of energy. The center spring is not necessary, but will increase the stability and jump distance of the frog.
Press down on the ”bottom” of the frog will dragging your finger off it and it will JUMP! Up to 1.2m/4 feet in total distance traveled, Its also kinda cute I guess.
Easy to print and assemble, for best results use 8mm or less layer height with no supports.
Both an AMS and nonAMS version is available for coloring the eyes.
