Take chess with you wherever you go with this MakerWorld exclusive!
This travel chess set includes all of your chess pieces, a board and storage area. Because the chess pieces are small and detailed, a small nozzle is required for the chess pieces!
As a bonus, I have also included checkers in this set.

Chess Pieces
0.2mm nozzle required
designed to use 0.1mm layer height
Checkers
0.2mm nozzle recommended, but not required
Board & Case
Nozzle size doesn't matter - I included print profiles for 0.2mm and 0.4mm nozzle sizes
0.2mm nozzle - Allows you to keep the same nozzle installed, but the prints take longer
0.4mm nozzle - Forces a nozzle change, but drastically lowers print time
thanks to this travel chess I played with my son and he said that there should be a prince in the chess game and he invented what moves it should have and modeled one.. so we made a remix and we played with the prince, so many thanks
In the game we played the Prince moves like: A knight (L-shaped, 2 squares orthogonally then 1 square perpendicular) Or 1 square diagonally So its movement is a combination of the knight's L-shape leaps and the ability to step one square in any diagonal direction. This gives it mobility and control over key squares and diagonals in a unique way compared to existing pieces.
Of course, other move patterns are possible too (e.g. combined rook+knight moves). But this prince design highlights how an asymmetric, multi-vector piece could spark new trends in over-the-board chess creativity and complexity. It's an intriguing avenue to explore the limits of classic chess.
I printed with a .4 nozzle @ .08 and I think it turned out a very serviceable set. So I'd say a .2mm nozzle isn't required. Optimum maybe, but, not required.
there's. any profiles to choose from. I have a profile that fits all pieces on one plate, or 2 for a1 mini. and I got it down to just 1 single color change so maybe you don't even need ams
Nice design overall !
Resliced the lid and box myself to tweak PETG settings but mostly to add a little dent on one side of the lid and a peg on the corresponding side of the box so it clicks when closed (can't be a travel version it can open itself in the bag x) )
