Description

This is a simplified model of MOF-5, a metal organic framework first synthesized by Omar Yaghi. This model must be colored using Bambu/OrcaSlicer. The central atom in the metal clusters is Zinc (cyan) connected in tetrahedral with oxygen (red). The Cluster is held in framwork by the organic ligand, teraphthalic acid. Carboxyllic acid group connect the ligand with the metal cluster (COO-) this is where you see the carbon (grey) connected to two oxygens. The ligand is aromatic and is shown in planar geometry rather than drawing the double bonds. All bonds are colored black for clarity.

This model should be printed with supports. I used 15% infill, 0.2mm layer height, and tree (auto) supports. This model must be printed on at relatively slow speed for best quality
