Description

The lid for this box fits on very snug when first printed. It has roughly a .1mm tolerance. You may need a very small scale up for the lid if you have had issues with tolerance being too tight on other models. It will loosen naturally to a more comfortable fit once it has been opened and closed a few times, just needs to be “broken in”. I design it intentionally tight so that it has room to wear in without becoming too loose to be secure.

I have printed this initially with 0.4mm nozzle, though it will really shine much better with a 0.2mm nozzle. I will add another option for this once I have had a chance to test it and create a tailored profile for it.

FOR BEST RESULTS
For the 0.4mm nozzle size, I highly recommend using the print profile I have provided. I adjusted many of the settings to more fully generate some of the fine walls on the first layer. Adhesion is a critical for the details to stay put, so a freshly cleaned plate and/or your adhesion method of choice should be considered prior to printing.


UPDATE:
Added a new print profile that is much larger and prints easier on a 0.4mm nozzle than the smaller box. Detailed stripes along box and lid. The stripes are painted on using Bambu Studio, you can remove them easily by “remove all painting” in the paint tool with the assembled box object selected.
