Description

A book nook inspired by the Wardrobe from the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe.

For the back part of the book nook, I taped a backdrop into the box before adding the trees and light post.

I ordered the trees from amazon: Amazon Mini Snow Trees

The min puck light for the top from Amazon as well: Mini Puck Lights

I am SO thankful for this design! This made a wonderful gift for a C.S. Lewis fan. The overall design and details are excellent. Huge kudos to the designer! Definite boost! I modified the lamp to be transparent PETG and added a flickering LED inside to simulate a flame. I decided to *not* use the top light so as to keep it feeling like a night scene which helps with the illusion. I included a small tree from the hobby store, cotton for the ground snow, and "Snow-Tex" painted onto a couple of twigs for that extra touch. I also added some slide latches to the back side so it stays snugly fitted as a single unit while able to be disassembled when needed. Overall the hardest part was finding the right brown for the wardrobe and then gluing it all together. Materials: -Polyterra Earth Brown PLA for floor and wall trim -Inland Bone White PLA for walls -IIID MAX brown PLA for wardrobe (great glossy look) -Sunlu transparent PETG for lamp post glass -LED Flickering Light Kit from Evans Designs (warm white, chip LED, *assembly required*) -Modified "Button Fix Type I" by @Hierotochan (for fastening sections together) -Hobby store mini snow tree, cotton for ground snow, and Snow-Tex paint for twigs -AI generated background image (attached for anyone interested) Video (this may not work): https://photos.app.goo.gl/CbpPnQwnkwKJehJS8

Thanks! It was a labor of love! I now have an appreciation for people who adopt the hobby of making miniatures... I must tread lightly else I be consumed and drained of all time and resources.

Thank you for creating this model! It's such an awesome book nook! Printed with matte orange filament and wood stained it and it came out so realistic.

Thanks! I used Varathane Kona on Bambu Matte Orange PLA, then did a light coat of Rustoleum Clear Gloss spray once it was dry.

This Book Nook print is very well designed. My daughter specifically requested this one. I printed the trees from 3Dudek. Dry Shampoo spray for the snow and a hueforge print that I stopped after the 3rd layer which left it flexible enough to bend it into the background.
