Description

This is the federal corvette from elite dangerous with a spoiler (raw model without spoiler included, may create profile for it later)

-scaled up to 250% from the base model, leads to model size being (218mm x 432mm x 69mm)

-cut up to fit 250mm^3 beds, if you want to print on a A1 mini, you will have to scale it down and recut or cut into smaller pieces

-tight fit on dowels, will most likely have to use force to fit it together (dont worry, its tough), still working on this issue

-spoiler connectors are fragile, recommend fitting together model first before attaching spoiler, recommend glue to keep it on

-mind some surface issues, the pla I was using was giving me a lot of trouble, took nearly double the time to print due to this

Painted and lightly sanded it--the dowels are a little hard to get in but overall a good fit. Once painted it's tough to see the seams.

You did a good job on the sleek paint and sanding! Yeah the dowels are still annoyingly tight, but its a tough ship, going to rework it some more by playing with the tolerances some, but glad you were able to get it to work. Hope you enjoy!

Awesome print! Came out pretty good with a couple minor overhang issues. I printed in black Bambu PETG which also caused some warping but it's nothing some black silicone can't fix. Looks awesome, love the detail!

Debating as to whether it would be better to print each part separately in case one of the parts fails during printing.

none of them should fail but it wouldn't be a bad idea if it makes you nervous

Which support do you recommend for the model?

while I have yet to test it, petg for pla supports, or like how I did, use bambu's pla support filament, otherwise it *might* not need a different material for the supports but it makes it a lot easier to remove, especially for something so thin (the supports are only active on the ships spoiler)
