Description

Support-free printing!

PETG is recomended for better flexibility.

You can also scale the model to 90%-95% when using tougher material such as PLA.

Apply some rotating force while pushing will make the installation much easier~

Please make sure the Desiccant you use is larger than 2mm in diameter.

Two Sizes Compatible with 52-70mm spool hole.

If you use Bamboo Spool, just go for the 50-60mm design.

I'm afraid it's not functional - diameter is too big, too many fins, impossible to mount, the cap and bottom does not have holes like on the image.

Don't worry. The fins are designed to be flexible. So it is intentionally designed to be a bit larger than the spool opening to get enough friction. The cap holes will just appear after slicing the model. The 3mf slicing setting I uploaded will do the job for you. Please check it out. And I have tested it on many different spools. They all work perfectly. Thanks for your feedback anyways.

If it turned out to be functional, I would appreciate it if you could revise the rating. Huge Thanks.

I printed the 50-60mm design and it came out to ~65mm in diameter. The Bambu rolls have an opening of ~55mm and there isn't any way this print in PLA was going to work.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback. I have tested the 50-60mm version on Bamboo Rolls. And it works fine. It may need some force to be pushed in. The fins are designed to be bent while installation. So it is intentionally designed to be a bit larger than the spool opening to get enough friction. Petg is recomended for better flexibility. You can also scale the model to 90% when using tougher material such as PLA. Thanks again for the feedback.

I ended up scailing to a total width of 58mm. Still seems like there is plenty of resistance. Will see how the PLA will hold up. My other suggestion would be to round over the corers of the fins. They are a little painful when trying to fit the container in a roll.

Rounded fins could be a good suggestion. Apply some rotating force while pushing will make the job much easier~

Works great, but had to scale the model to 95% as the first one I printed broke the fins across the layer lines going into a Bambu spool. I have printed 15 since then in PETG and put them in all my spools.

Beautiful item but I printed it with Bambu Lab PLA and I can't get it to enter my spools, unfortunately flaps broke before I can get it into them. :(
