We at TunerMounts are thrilled to share an exclusive 3D printing file for an innovative automotive mount, we are happy to share for the Bambu Labs community's upcoming contest. Our engineering group has meticulously designed this model to cater to the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics.

Design Overview: This mount is crafted to integrate seamlessly with the Subaru WRX’s dashboard, using the existing heating and AC ducting for a sleek, built-in look. The design not only supports the COBB Accessport V3 but also enhances the overall driver experience with optional cosmetic embossing.

Technical Specifications:

Print Profile: We recommend printing with 4 walls for increased durability, especially necessary for incorporating heat-set inserts.
Materials Needed: The design utilizes two 10-32 heat set inserts and 10-32 dome top screws to ensure a secure and robust assembly.
Supports Required: Yes, supports are needed for optimal print quality and integrity (we modified the branch distance to reduce sagging on overhangs).
Cosmetic Options: For those interested in adding a unique touch, we suggest using Juupines Holographic Print Plates for embossing both holographic and non-holographic designs.

Re adjusted the print orientation, less support required this way. Changed layer height to be .12mm and initial layer height to .2mm. changed support for one of the pieces from tree to normal. overall the design is excellent. I printed mine out of PLA plus and added an uv resistant clear coat on the finished part.

jk, pla wont work wrapped right away. must be made of pc or asa or petg cf

Pritied very well, used PETG. Was having issues adhering to the the carbon plate (user error). 2015 STI

I wish this was turned more towards the driver. Also a bit over complicated for install. overall a great design but room for improvement. printed with PETG. going to try a ASA version.

Make sure to use at least 1” screws. I first used shorter screws and couldn’t get one screw to catch because the piece that mates to the vent can be finicky trying to make it sit flush under the dash.

Any trick to install it because it really hard to install it without really putting force to set in.
