Description

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK, please don't die…

Hi there ! This is a Kaoko inspired cruise control for motorcycles, i used it some time ago on my Kawasaki Versys 650, so i know it works for most Kawasaki models, however, i don't know if it works with other brands (it should since bar ends are pretty standard)

How it works :

It works by replacing the original bar end on the throttle side, then you can screw in the nut until it makes contact witht the side of the grip, from there you grab both the grip and the nut, and twist to your desired throttle position, it will hold it in place, but you can still twist the throttle closed or adjust it at any time.

When not in use, it is really important to unscrew the nut all the way so it doesnt accidently interfere with the throttle.

Install :

Remove the old bar end weight, put it aside and keep the screw, then assemble the cheapo kaoko cruise control by screwing the nut on the printed bar end, make sure the flat side of the nut goes on the side of the grip, then reuse the original screw to bolt everything back together.

Printing :

I printed mine out of PLA, and it worked just fine, however i beleive it would be smarter and safer to print it out of a more heat resistant material like PETG or ASA

oof sorry to hear that, however on my end it worked very well with no defect, I’ve also used this print for years on my bike with no problem. maybe your filament wasn’t dry enough ? or the part moved a bit mid print ?
