Description

This remix adapts the circular hygrometer cutout in the wide Dry Pod to accept a 49 x 29 x 15 mm mini hygrometer that's on amazon.

There are two versions:

  1. With the hygrometer enclosed. This is useful because you can remove the hygrometer without all the desiccant spilling out, and since the sensor isn't right next to desiccant you will get a more accurate reading of relative humidity.
  2. With only the hygrometer cutout. This is for people that want to squeeze every gram of desiccant into their AMS.

Instructions:

With the middle two spool trays empty, you can simply slide the pod into place as shown:

Is that a neon green, or some kind of UV filament? Looks cool!

Hi Gillithonnen - I use the crass green very often ;-) - Filament is Sunlu PLA+ green

Interesting, the stock photos of that filament looks like it's a darker shade of green. That bright green really stands out!

looks good, i guess you need to strip down the AMS to fit this in, but looks worth it, just need to order the hydrometer next.

Glad you like it! There's no need to strip down the AMS, just the two middle spool spots have to be empty and you can drop it in :)

Too thin, wall should be reinforced around top and bottom of the hygrometer (no holes there).

Judging from all the stringing in your print, I'd say the problem is with your filament and/or filament settings

This is petg in a closed chamber with 10000 retractions, stringing is typical. When does stringing mean weaker part? Another model with reinforcements is fine. Nothing personal buddy.
