Description

Remix of SpectreGadget's brilliant AMS riser. This adds a rim / lip to the front edge to fully capture the glass top and prevent it from sliding forward without lifting it up. I found that sometimes the glass would sometimes move forward during long prints, possibly due to the combination of the printing shaking about and/ or it not being perfectly level. I also added an additional 0.05mm clearance and shortened each dovetail for a bit easier assembly, but may add a touch more as I still needed a clamp to press things together.

Hi. What settings are you using? I’m getting a lot of warping using Bambu asa

I have only printed this with PETG and PETG-CF which did need a brim to prevent warping. I haven't printed with ASA yet, but from what I have read, try bumping the bed temp to 100C (initial and other layers), preheating the bed for bit to get the chamber temp warmer. Warping and cracking with ASA seems common, so I would try giving the forum a check for more tips.

Sussed it 110c bed, pre heating chamber to 50c, slowing print everywhere down to 30mm/s. Is the ams supposed to lean so far if you put weight on the front or back?

Should lean at all really. Mine is very solid. Perhaps you still have some warping or the riser isn't seated fully, not sure really.

The only thing that I would change would be to add a rubber gasket for the glass when it's in the "open" position. right now it rattles slightly when printing

Thank you for the feedback and great rating! Mine doesn't rattle...yet, but I don't like the glass-on-plastic feel ;) I have been looking for some thing felt tape and will update if I find some. Thanks!
