Description

Minimal Supports

I would suggest using organic tree supports and if you have an AMS system use PETG for the supports as it will make removing them alot easier as it does not adhere to PLA

This is an awesome model! But I'm posting just to make everyone aware of some issues. I printed to my P1S from my phone app, using the designers original profile. Unfortunately, they used standard auto supports that made a mess of everything. The worst part is all the supports inside and under the rifle and helmet. I'm trying to salvage it, but after 30 minutes I thought I'd take pictures. I may try again, but I would definitely recommend organic Tree supports, maybe even paint them on. (yeah, I should have done that first but I saw it and went for it!). Bambu P1S w/ Sunlu Silk Silver Filament.

It must have been a mistake on my part as I normally always use Tree organic supports as I find them so much better to work with, I will check the model later this week and do an edit if it is on there wrong

Printed on Gray Hatchbox PLA+ with Bambu Lab Gray PETG interface and organic tree support. Painted with powdered-copper filled acrylic and sprayed with copper sulfate/hc-acid patina accelerant. Had some trouble with the organic supports in the underside of the helmet that would not come off even with the PETG interface but eventually managed to get a clean detach with some patience. Might reprint the model and sand the layer lines more as the patina process really accentuated them.

Great design, but default profile settings are a nightmare with standard supports 😂 I broke the head off, trying to take off the Supports!!

Well the notes on the model covers everything , they are written for a reason complaining about things that I have taken the time to explain that you never read is a bit much, but you are also free to make one yourself as well. Giving the model a bad rating because you never read the notes I took to the time to write to explain how to get the best results with the free model I uploaded is out of order.
