Description

Just a quick note: If you're looking for SnapSwitch 2 for Nintendo Switch 2, it is now available here!

Visual Warning: I somehow ended up with 6 kids, and I have neglected to instill the fear of Lucifer into them in regards to the sanctity of electronics; My Switch is in pretty rough shape, please shield the eyes of those with gentler gag reflexes. Thank you.

This builds on the original SnapSwitch design, and simply adds a headrest adapter. They are compatible with one another, so if you printed SnapSwitch: Nintendo Switch Sun Visor Snap Mount, enjoy mounting it directly to the back seat with the SnapSwitch universal headrest adapter.

Super Simple to Print (Uses just 56g)

Snaps Into Place Using PETG Spring-Loaded Design (PLA will snap, melt, and be ultra brittle - Do. Not. Use it.)

Compatible with Both Original Nintendo Switch and OLED Models (and Switch Lite, just snip the bottom nub shorter so it locks in with the screw hole instead of the blank-hole that the OG and OLED have (see below).

Attaching is so easy, it can be done one-handed easily.

Now the rear passengers can enjoy the ride in style. Take the joycons off or not, doesn't matter either way. 👍

What brand of PETG is this? I've used Bambulabs and Overture, and the 'bendiness' tolerances have been really high. This almost looks like a PLA hybrid or something, that's quite the break! If you can help us out with what kind of PETG, maybe that will help future printers out. Thank you so much for sharing this enlightening photo.

the print desing printed well, but when you try to attach the seat attachment and the clip the clip breaks, so maybe someone can change it to have a hole in the seat attachment instead of clipping around it, and that should increase both durability and ease of access.

I implore you to utilize PETG and NOT PLA. PLA wont be able to do the things required for installation, plus will die in the heat of your vehicle. 👍 We utilized the "wrap around" clip pattern so that you can clip it onto the sun visor if desired as well. They are interchangeable.

@im. @im.jackharvest I think enough peeople have advised properly dried, PetG of various manufacturs cracks\breaks at the top clip part. The dimenons and curve of clip that must be stretched overe the headrest bracket are designed to "snap on" but its just a little too small\ the PetG contines to crack at the same spot. The flexible switch holder and the actual headrest arms\bracket are fine.. its just that top clip cant take the punishment. I am trying to work out how to use modifiers on just that ttop part to decrease infill or walls or something to give it some more flex maybe.

the nr of walls is not sufficient, printed somewhat OK with bambulab transparent petg but snapped easily. the part for headrest is a bit to big for the clip, can se that breaking easily since it's under some stress when assembled. like the model but needs some fine tuning. like the model, it's innovative.

Polymaker Petg still breaks.... nice design, but some tolerance issues I think considering other comments.

I guess it was an user error, but it simply deformed and stayed that way on first use ...

I have adapted the entire profile for a current BMW G20/21 with sports seats, it works very well and holds stably

Davinci Resolve. I found an easy tutorial for 25fps gifs and changed all the settings to match. Been happy with it. :)

Printed okay. Had a lot of rough spots and it snapped more than a few times. It was hard enough for me to put on and assemble, I can’t imagine my 7 year old doing. it.
