NEW Model
After so many people asked me for my Marble Run 003 expansions and I was not allowed to pass them on, I designed the Paddle Wheel Addon v1. Many thanks for the many downloads and great ratings!!
But now the time has come for the new Paddle Wheel Addon v2 Plus for the magnific Marble Run 003 https://makerworld.com/en/models/14265 .
Version v2 Plus of the Paddle Wheel Addon has been improved and has now an additional semi-automatic Fork as well as a “Coil” track. The improvements affect every part of the previous Paddle Wheel Addon and therefore the old elements cannot be used anymore.
The Paddle Wheel Addon v2 Plus has been tested with the original Marbles Run Component Kit 003 Hardware Kits from BBL https://eu.store.bambulab.com/en-ch/products/marble-run-components-kit-003 . Alternatively, you can also find the same marbles here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004016745627.html . Select diameter 14mm.

- This addon contains small parts. Please make sure that children cannot swallow them.

I'm having a problem getting the marbles to go around the bend after the paddle wheel, also a problem with them falling off when they go into the coil. I suspect it's because I'm using 3d printed marbles and they aren't heavy enough. Will try with some glass ones and see how it goes.

Thanks for your feedback. The weight and diameter (14mm) of the marbles play a decisive role. I use the marbles sold by BBL https://eu.store.bambulab.com/en-ch/products/marble-run-components-kit-003 . Alternatively, you can also find the right marbles at Aliexpress https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004016745627.html . Select diameter 14mm.
Can you just take a picture of the problem spot (falling off when they go into the coil)? Thx

it's the 2 circled bends where they fall off. I got some glass marbles and they have enough momentum to go through the paddle wheel and around the bend, but they will still fall off of the coil about 50% of the time.
I think the outer walls just need to be 2-3mm higher on those turns and it will be perfect

Thanks for the picture. On a first view it seems the walls are not printed well. Did you use my Print Profile with the special settings for the coil?

Aus irgendeinem Grund schaffen die Murmeln bei mir die Schleife nach dem Rad nicht und rollen teilwese zurück zu dem Rad und blockieren den. Die Murmeln sind original vom Set.

Dann liegt es mit grosser Wahrscheinlichkeit am Schaufelrad, das zu wenig frei dreht. Ein kleiner Stoss muss reichen, um das Rad mehrmals drehen zu lassen. Wenn das nicht der Fall ist haben die Murmeln zu wenig Schwung. Prüfe das bitte. Auch ein kleiner Tropfen Öl kann schon helfen. Was für ein Filament verwendest du?

Das war PLA HS von Anycubic. Ich habe noch Vorrat vom vorherigen Drücker übrig. Schaufelrad dreht sich, eigentlich, sehr leicht. Keine Ahnung woran es liegt.

Hmm, könntest du mir ev. Fotos schicken (Serpentine und Halterung)? Bisher hatte niemand so ein Problem gemeldet und die Neigung sollte ausreichen wenn das Schaufelrad genug Schwung erlaubt. Gegenüber der Version V1 funktioniert V2 plus problemlos. Was du aber machen kannst ist, dass du die Kurve leicht mit einem Föhn erwärmst und etwas nach unten biegst.

The instructions were good but the pictures were a little small on some steps that took some figuring out. Once we did though, it all eventually came together (with some deburring and force fitting) and this is a GREAT add-on to the marble run. You cranked this model up to 11! :-)
I did do the coil remix as well as the catcher remix.
Too many filaments to call out but I am showing the parts all printed and then the finished product.

Thank you for your comments, nice pictures (excellent colours 👍🏻) and the 5 stars 😀. I know, it takes a lot of filament for the tree hybrid support structures for the coil, but you can easily remove it and you don't have a support structure within the marble track. I try to find a good compromise in each case… Another large addon is in the pipeline, but since MW changed the points system, I have to think about whether it's worth publishing. We are now very dependent on booster.

No worries on the support (I don't think I complained about that). By "too many filaments to call out" I meant I used too many different brands to list them all in the 500 character space. :-)
I would be happy to test out any additional mods if you want a guinea pig. My kids are digging the fact that we are enhancing the thing we already built as a family. I will send you my next booster regardless as you earned it.

Tolle Erweiterung. Das Laufrad lief erst richtig nach dem ich es ein wenig geölt habe. Sieht alles klasse aus und lässt sich sehr gut drucken.

Die Schaufeln sind etwas kleiner gestaltet als bei der Version v1. Das Schaufelrad sollte daher sogar besser laufen ohne es ölen zu müssen. Es sind meistens leichte Druck Nuancen, die verursachen, ob das Schaufelrad besser dreht. Aber etwas Öl schadet auch nicht.

No problems. everything went together and added on to the base model quickly. Used the Starter ramp designed by you plus the Marble box. No issues with stock marbles or some 14mm ones I ordered off Amazon. Love it!! Keep the add-ons coming!
