Print Profile(1)

Description
This is inspired by a sharing video I saw on Bilibili, for details please refer to the original video.

Here's a main description of the improvement.
1. The base has been replaced with an acrylic plate, which is transparent and beautiful, and it is a pre-embedded acrylic plate that will not fall off.
2. The control knob has been upgraded to a pre-embedded magnet, eliminating the worries of the magnet falling off and rusting.
3. Added a top cover, which is also a pre-embedded acrylic plate, connected to the base through a pre-embedded magnet, making it easy to take out the hexagon inside.
4. The hexagon group is designed in multiple colors, of course, you can also use a single color, but I personally think multiple colors are better.
Let's talk about printing precautions.
1. This print uses pre-embedding technology for all parts except the hexagon group, which requires manual processing and cannot be printed unattended.
2. Magnetism, it is recommended to ensure that all surfaces have the same magnetic properties, so that no matter how it is rotated, it can be well adsorbed, and the control knob is very de-stressing to play with.
3. Control knob
a. The control knob has three parts, the upper and lower parts are the same model, the middle model is different.
b. Pay attention to the middle model of the control knob, because magnets repel each other with the same polarity, so the magnetism on both sides is not the same.
c. Although the upper and lower parts of the control knob are the same model, be careful not to have the same magnetism (the two sides of the middle operation knob have different magnetism).
d. The upper and lower parts of the operation knob should be placed as I did when printing, ensuring that the thin side is in contact with the print plate (I designed the magnet hole position to be slightly larger when designing, to prevent the situation where it cannot be put in, but this will cause the magnet to be sucked away by the print nozzle, close to the print plate can make the magnet firmly adsorbed on the plate, to prevent being sucked away by the nozzle).
e. For the middle operation knob, it will be attracted by the magnet that has been pre-embedded below, so there is no need to worry about being sucked away by the nozzle (this is one of the reasons why the two sides of the magnetism are designed differently).
f. The operation knob needs to be operated through an acrylic plate, so it needs a stronger magnet, the magnet I bought at the time felt a bit weak, so I can only control a small range and fix the current graphic.
4. Upper and lower cover plates
a. The upper and lower cover plates need to pre-embed acrylic plates and magnets.
b. The precautions for pre-embedding magnets are consistent with the control knob, mainly pay attention to close to the print plate, to prevent being sucked away by the nozzle.
c. The pre-embedded acrylic plate needs a little skill, I tried many times at the beginning and failed, because the surface of the acrylic plate is too smooth, the print material cannot adhere, the solution I finally came up with is to first use the same material to print a small panel that is the same as the contact surface (only one layer), which becomes the auxiliary contact surface, and fix the auxiliary contact surface in the corresponding position of the acrylic plate with glue, and then pre-embed it during the printing of the outer shell.
5. 3mf print profile instructions
a. I don't know if my preset pause can be retained, be sure to confirm that you can see the interlayer pause after slicing before printing.
b. Disc 1 is the control knob, it is optional, it is not necessary to print.
c. Disc 2 is the auxiliary contact surface, this must be printed with the same material as the outer shell and must be printed before the outer shell is printed.
d. Both disc 1 and disc 2 need to be printed twice.
e. The rest are hexagon groups, single-color printing only needs to print disc 3, those who want to print multi-color can print discs 5-8, or you can use the original model of disc 3 for your own color matching (need to be split into objects first).
6. About pre-embedding technology
a. This only represents my personal understanding, only for beginners.
b. Pre-embedding technology refers to components that are pre-installed and buried in concealed engineering--Quoted from Baidu.
c. For bambu studio, we need to set the pause for the corresponding layer in the preview interface on the right side after slicing, those who want to understand can refer to this video Bamboo Nanny-level Tutorial~Practical Skills 3~Specify Layer Pause, No AMS Can Also Print Multi-color Files_bilibili_bilibili
d. Since the pause in bambu studio is before the start of the layer, it should be paused at the layer that just starts to print on the surface.
e. The following are my personal pause layer numbers for this project.
1) Control knob: 14, 39
2) Upper and lower cover plates: 14, 33
7. About the original model file
a. I uploaded all the model files for this project, which were modeled using solidworks, and you can modify them yourself.
b. Because I calculated the size of the acrylic plate incorrectly at the time, the size of the hexagon group in my model is different and cannot be used universally.
