Galaxy M101 with Supernova SN2023ixf
Print Profile(1)

Description
In August 2023, I used my back yard telescope and a DSLR to take a series of long exposures of Galaxy M101, to catch a supernova and stacked and processed the photos to make this shot as a negative greyscale image. It's not the greatest shot, too much light pollution where I am. But I like it. So now it's a 3D printable model, made from the astrophoto with Hueforge. The Supernova is the left half of the black double spot above and to the right of the core of the galaxy.
