Description

Based on a great model and series of remixes. This one increases Jupiter to the maximum print size for a Bambu X1C and scales the rest of the planets from there.

Includes all planets, Pluto, stands, and ring connectors

I recommend printing Saturn's rings twice and glue them together in a staggered ring. You'll need to drill holes within Saturn to attach at least 3 supports for the rings.

13 plate 3MF included for Bambu Studio

At this scale (1:575,000,000) the Sun will be 2,545.45mm (8.35 ft) and 260m away (852 ft)

Updated 11/2025: I redid the connectors for Saturn to use m3 bolts - much more secure!

Excellent print However, for Saturn's rings I printed eight pieces to make both sides Furthermore, I printed eight supports to bear the weight

Love it! I printed 8 for Saturn as well. Although I'm still not thrilled with how to attach to the planet, I need to re-do that portion.

Could we consider incorporating holes into the planet to directly embed the supports within?

Can someone guide me through the assembly of Saturn's rings? I don't get how those "clips" should connect to the planet itself, or the other "obj_2_V4 2025.step.stl" which I don't understand how it works. Is the hole in octagonal form to be used with a screw? If so, how should I attach it? Or should I just print 3 or 4 of "obj_8_saturn ring rod v3.step.stl", glue them to the rings and "land" them in Saturn? Like, no connectors or anything, just leave it "floating" over it. Help please?!

Here are some photos of my assembly. I drilled 3 small holes in the planet and stuck the rods inside. These show V2 of the connectors with small bolts - I’ll upload the new files.

thank you! that makes total sense. I'll have to find other options of screws since I had to scale Saturn and rings down as my printer does not fit it at 100%

is the scale listed in mm? cm? m?

I’m not sure what you mean - a ratio scale doesn’t have units.

Really beautiful planetary system. Unfortunately, the supports for the larger planets are missing. Can these still be added
