Description

Silent Treatment MKI - 4 Shot, Lever Action, Rubber Band Rifle

Features:

  • Simple Push fit assembly
  • Fully 3D printed apart from 1 match stick and some rubber bands
  • Functional lever action design
  • 4 Shot
  • Very accurate
  • Prints in under 8 hours
  • Under 250g of filament
  • Cheap, replaceable ammo
  • A great print at home alternative to Nerf wars ;)

Remove all support material before assembly. Sharp side cutters and a long bladed craft knife work best for the hard to reach areas.

Extra Info:

  • You can lube the Slide and any pivot points with a light oil or grease to ensure smooth functionality. Lubing the Rotor also makes loading and firing easier.

  • You can add more bands to the internal mechanism to suit your personal tension preference. This will affect how much force the lever action and hammer take to load.

  • You can use very strong bands for projectiles as long as they're thing enough to rotate around the Rotor. This rifle is built strong and can take a fair amount of tension here.

  • Be careful when removing the Side Plate as it is easy to snap the locator pins in the Main Body, if you don't gently ease it off squarely.

  • You can of course glue the side plate on, but this will stop you being able to replace the internal bands when they eventually wear out.

  • Use of a match stick is my personal preference but anything that will fit in the hole of the rocker and lever will work fine. It must be strong enough to take the pressure of the bands and must be trimmed flush (See assembly gif).

* I'm also in the process of scaling and testing this to suit an A1 Mini build plate, so please follow me to stay updated :) *
