Description

I was asked to design a Christmas ornament candy dish. This is what I came up with. It came out way better than I ever thought it would have. It prints very well even without supports!

I am even filling them with candy canes and other candies to give out as gifts and people love them.

 

UPDATE 1/3/26:  I have finally put up my own profile for this model.  

 

Print Settings:

  • ORNAMENT - 3 Walls, 7% Gyroid Infill, .2mm layer for .4mm nozzle, .4mm for .8mm nozzle.
    • For the best top, select “Not Applied” for Only one wall on top surfaces
    • Change order of walls to outer/inner
  • CROWN, CLIP and HOOK - .4mm nozzle at .2mm layer height
  • Prints great with PLA and PETG
  • No supports needed

Assemble:

  • Put the crown on first
  • Squeeze the clip together and put it through the holes of the crown.
  • Then snap the small part of the hook onto the clip thats in the crown.

Tips:

  • If the clip breaks, then print it last and take it right off the print bed as soon as it finishes and squeeze it or you can use a heat gun.
