Adorable Sunflowers with Flexi Legs

These adorable sunflowers are the perfect addition to your desk or shelf. The cute smiling faces will brighten up any room. 

Super easy to print and can be scaled up or down! If you scale below 60% the legs may no longer be flexible but feel free to give it a shot. Also, I print the stem in 1 color when scaling down as the “veins” of the leafs become to small for the slicer to recognize. There is a pot without the legs for folks that want to print this below the 60% scale and do not want to worry about the legs. 

Prints in 3 plates. One for the sunflower, 2nd for the stem and leaves and 3rd for the pot and lid. I always print the sunflower and then the stem so I can paint the eyes and glue the flower and stem together while the pot prints. Normally the glue is dry enough by the time the pot finishes printing to put it all together. 

Ensure seam is set to “back” when printing the pot or it'll be in the front. When scaling make sure to scale all pieces the exact same to ensure a proper fit. 

Steps to put this cute flower together are super simple.
1. Paint the eyes to add to make the sunflower more adorable

2. Glue the sunflower to the stem. Do this by putting a small dot of glue or adhesive in the hole on the back of the sunflower. Then make sure the stem is oriented correctly (curved side forward of the stem towards the face of the sunflower & leaves pointing up towards the flower) and then slide the stem into the whole moving it a round a bit to spread the glue. Let that dry according to instructions of your adhesive.


 

3. Slide the “lid” onto the stem below the leaves.

4. Place the stem into the slot at the bottom of the pot. When scaling down, I've found that this fit is a bit more snug than when printed at 100% but it still slides into place with a gentle push.

5. Place on desk and smile!
