Wire Cutter Holder for the HSW

Compact holder that can be printed without support.

Easy to Snap to your Honeycomb Storage Wall.

3 Different variations.

Cutter Dimension

This holder is designed based on the generic wire cutters with the following dimensions.

T Thickness must be less than 13.5 mm.
W The cutter must have a minimum of 37 mm when it is in compression.
H Approximately 130mm height.

Print orientation:

Print flat as the image shows. No needs support.

Print Settings:

Material: PLA/PETG
Layer height: 0.2
Perimeters: 4
Infill density: 25%

I needed something I could hang all my 3d tools/gear on that could mount on the inside of a cabinet door in my office. I keep my printer on top of my desk and have built in cabinets. So wanted to keep it relatively clutter free. I wanted something I could print and not have to buy at the store. I chose multiboard because it seemed the most flexible (meaning it could handle HSW, pegboard, multipoint, and native multiboard). Plus it had a lot of support, and the step files were readily available.

This is the best wire cutter holder that I've found on Maker World. They actually hold the cutters in a fully closed position securely, which keeps them as compact as possible. Others leave the cutters open, hanging crooked on a hook or through a loop. These don't budge even when they're hanging on the side of my printer as it's shaking. Well designed!

FOLLOW UP EDIT: I was looking for a scissors holder and didn't like any that I was finding. They either held the scissors too loosely, at an angle, were too customized for a certain pair, or required the scissors to sheathe in where you'd have to pull them all the way out. I was debating on using a generic hook or designing a custom one, and then it hit me. This holder is perfect for regular scissors too! They sit snug, straight, and are easy to store/remove. Definitely was worth the boost!

HSW Cutter Holder

Holds my cutters and some pliers without problems. In case anyone wonders, my research indicates that storing your pliers closed (under tension) shouldn't be a problem.
