Description

Summary

2025 UPDATE!
================
Lowered the inner lip of the box end parts by about 2mm so that the original plate fits more accurately.

The new model name is Bticino Living Classic Mount Frame V3.1.stl

2024 NEW DESIGN!

New stronger, simplified, more accurate design.
All the aspects of the frame have been reviewed. Walls are thinner, yet stronger. Many redundant feature have been removed; mounting tabs have been deeply redesigned to be both more elastic and stronger. Now they will not break when inserting accessories into the housing.

Mount frames of series Living Classic by bTicino are getting old and crack as soon as you pull off the walls for maintenance. Many retailers do not have them in stock anymore and even though Amazon is always there to assist, why not drawing one and 3dDprint it in order to share it with the community?
This is the 3 slot version. I needed it to replace a frame that broke when I removed it to paint a wall. I am not planning to draw any other variant like the one with shuko outlet slot, or multiple slots versions (ehm... unless I need it again).
Also I am unaware of how many of bTicino Living Classic fixtures are still in use and if there are some outside Italy, so chances are the nobody will be interested in this item.
It was fun to draw it, though, so, here it is.

Enjoy!

Notes:

The object in the picture was printed at a resolution of 0.2mm, and is doing its deed quite well. Higher resolutions would improve toughness and could be less prone to splitting betwenn layers. Also a material less brittle than PLA is recommended.
