Description

Based on GDM Originals amazing caricatured model, I assembled and created this headphone stand of Dwight Schrute from The Office TV Show so you can keep your headphones in a safe head, I mean… look at him:

Printed with Bambulab Marble PLA

The stand has a firm and thick base with an angled desk plate holder on the front. I created 2 desk plates (you can see the images on the profile): Assistant to the Regional Manager and Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica (for true fans 😁). In the main profile, the desk plates are placed on 2 print plates in case you prefer to print them separately or not print them. But in this profile, both are on the same plate to save some time. In any case, the plates are facing down to have a good quality.

I created the plates using MakerLab's Make My Sign tool, so you can create your own plates too. The dimensions of the desk plate are: 180mm x 40.5mm x 1.9mm. If you prefer to add some thickness to your custom desk plate, keep in mind that the desk plate has a bottom border of 2.7mm that holds the plate in place.

Desk plate settings:

- 0.2mm layer height

- 2 walls

- 15% gyroid infill

- No brim

- No support

- 2 colors, B&W

Headphone stand settings:

- 0.2mm layer height

- 2 walls

- 5% gyroid infill (it seems low but is sturdy)

- No brim

- Tree supports (auto) at 30º threshold angle

If you are not interested in having desk plates, I also created a different model with a simple 2-step circular base. Same settings, but the base has 10% infill and I added a modifier to the base and part of the neck to have 15% gyroid infill to make it extra sturdy, you can remove it if you prefer. Also 1 more wall, 3 walls.

I know supports may scare you (images below) but I used my hands and some regular pliers (for the eyes part) to remove them, let me show you the print supports:

I hope you like it and share some photos. Likewise, I would also love to see some custom desk plates!
