Description

Set of risers to create a second-tier level of the ‘Simple Filament Rack’ by Cat of Many Faces on Printables. There are 2 end pieces that fill the whole gap, and 1 joiner piece for linking multiple together. These accomodate full size 1kg or 250g spools well. Not tried with 3kg spools.

*Edited Review after 2 weeks of use* After further use i have realized that these are too small... my rolls of filament are 'stuck' inside of the shelf. Every time i try to remove them i have to bend the upper level and practically lift the entire rack Needs to be like atleast 10mm taller Edit #2 I uploaded a print profile with risers that are 15mm taller than the original design. problem fixed

thanks for the feedback, the very tight fit is definitely deliberate, though easier to assemble dimensions worked, they would fall apart sometimes when I pulled a spool from the lower tier so I made them super tight so the whole piece could be lifted and handled - guess it was too much though - sorry about that! maybe I should put up a profile with looser clearances for those who want to easily disassemble and reassemble?

that makes sense! i personally prefer to glue these kinds of things together to help to all stay together - that being said i dont usually rely on the tight fits to keep things together however, with how tight these DO fit together, glue is probablyyyyy not needed. another profile with smaller inserts wouldnt be a bad idea, so people (like myself :P) have the option for a flush fit. Could even mark it as requiring glue so people dont get confused and print the wrong one
