Description

Hello!

This is an orthesis that is flat-printed and then thermoformed with heat to give it greater resistance to the piece. It is designed to assist people who have difficulty opening their hand.

The orthesis has its "plates" that can be modified to give it other themes. The orthesis itself is located in the "Orthesis" folder, and its "add-ons" are in the Kong Addons folder.

The friends at Warner invited me to get inspired by the movie Godzilla vs Kong: The New Empire since Kong has an orthesis! And so our 3D orthesis was adapted to resemble that of the iconic character.

Print in PLA, use hot water (80/90 degrees) to deform the pieces. The elastic thread should not be larger than 3mm in diameter. The fingers can be deformed to adjust it to the person's size (the design is tailored to an adult male).

Esta es una órtesis que se imprime plana y luego con calor se termoforma, para darle una mayor resistencia a la pieza. Esta pensada para las personas que tienen algún problema en abrir la mano, para dar asistencia.

La órtesis tiene sus "placas" que se pueden modificar para darle otras temáticas, la órtesis sola se encuentra en la carpeta "Orthesis" y sus "add-ons" en la carpeta Kong Addons.

Los amigos de Warner me invitaron a inspirarme con la película de Godzilla x Kong: El nuevo imperio ya que Kong tiene una órtesis! Y asi se adapto nuestra clásica ortesis 3D para parecerse a la del emblemático personaje.

Imprimir en PLA, utilizar agua caliente (80/90 grados) para deformar las piezas. El hilo elástico no tiene que ser mayor a 3mm de diámetro, se puede deformar los dedos para ajustarlo a la medida de la persona (el diseño esta a la medida de un hombre adulto).

Really fun project to do. Bending the PLA with hot water was surprisingly easy and fun. I scaled it for my son's arm.

oh no, he is just obsessed with King Kong and this is the only object similar to what he wears on the movie. it became his favorite toy.

Printed Perfectly, Was surprisingly easy to bend i used a heat blower on low settings and default size fits my 9 year olds arm perfect. I feel i would need to upsize it some if I want a matching one

Hey Dreego. Hope this helps. Yeah, it's for both hands. Have in mind to use hot water to thermoform the parts. Also, if you are above 18/20 years, scale It to around 105/110. Start with the fingers, and if they fit, the rest should follow the same scale. Anything else drop a comment!
