Description

I recently purchased a Yolink temperature sensor with hub from Amazon along with a door sensor for my mailbox. Being at the end of my long driveway, the mailbox sensor would not always stay connected to the hub in my network closet. I knew to get a constant connection for this to work, I was going to have to relocate my hub.  I had an idea in mind to wall mount it but they do not have a way to wall mount from factory.  I did some looking for a mount and came across one on Thingiverse. I noticed that his hub was not exactly like mine though so I did some downsizing to see if I could make it fit. Low and behold, this one fits really well, but the cable wasn't able to plug in the back without issue so I modified it a bit more to accommodate the usb cable. It fits snug enough that you can mount it upside down if you would like. It seems as if Yolink has a couple different variations of their hub without the speaker in it, and I have the more compact one. Please ensure your hub matches mine in the pictures.

I printed this in ABS and this worked perfectly for me. if I were to remix this and improve it, I would make the walls on the arms that hold it on slightly thicker, they seem delicate. I would also make the back wall that goes against the wall slightly thicker so there would be more plastic under the screw heads. These are minor nitpicks and I think this is good as is.

what adapter are you using to power the hub? I definitely could use something like that.

I'm using an Ethernet PoE splitter. It provides 100mb ethernet and 5volt usb power through a single cable. This also means the hub is on battery backup since the switch that is powering it is on battery backup in a central location. I get them on AliExpress for ~$3 for all my smart home hubs.

Nice build. I had to use flat head mounting screws to insure a tight fit.
