These are TPU seals for garden hose adapters. Print in high quality for good fit. Also, Drying your TPU down 10% humidity is essential for a clean print.
This post contains multiple different models. As I create mire garden accessories, I will add all gaskets, seals and O-Rings to create a singular seals and gaskets library for all of my models. I will add these models as individual print profiles. You can of course use the seal models for other purposes, but please keep in mind, that I designed and tested them with my models and the European Gardena system. There are also IBC seals which are not part of the Gardena System.
Also please keep in mind, that the quality and non-leakiness of your prints is highly dependent on your filament, the dryness of the filament and the calibration of your printer. If your print leaks, measure the hose connector and compare it to the designed sizes. For the standard ¾" and 1" O-Rings there are slightly bigger versions.
For all seals/gaskets, please be advised the working principle of those seals. Both sides of the connection and the gasket in the middle have to make decent contact, but do not need to be screwed in with a lot of force. This will only break your Gardena adapter instead of sealing. Also do not use Teflon sealing on the threads as this is a different sealing paradigm which is not compatible with these gaskets.
Select the seals, gaskets and O-Rings you need and have fun working on your garden irrigation system :)
For all of my models that include supports, I highly recommend a detailing / support removal tool like the one from anish or C59. Those make use of a replacement filament cutter and have proven themselves a very valuable tool for clean and easy support removal, especially for threads.
Also, please keep in mind, that the quality of threads is highly dependent on the quality and dryness of your filament, the calibration of your printer and the print resolution. A thread printed with .2mm layer height will be way harder to thread nicely and will require more force, than a thread printed at .08mm or .12mm layer height. Also, the Arachne wall generator does contribute a lot to precise threads. If you need more part strength, increase the number of walls, make use of the alternate extra wall feature and DO NOT use PLA.
