Headphone / Audio Jack Extender (Under Desk or Wall Mount)

The audio jack on my PC is hard to reach so I made this extender which I mounted under my standing desk. It uses a cable strain relief boot that I printed in TPU, and I recommend using TPU for the cable boots. However, since TPU is still a bit of specialty thing and can be hard to print, I included a “hard” cable boot which can be printed in PLA or PETG (Audio_extension-1H-CABLE-SR-PLA-A.stl and Audio_extension-1H-CABLE-SR-PLA-B.stl). Thanks to Campo_da_Gator for posting the make using the “hard” PLA cable boot, and confirming that it works!

It was mounted with some #6 screws but I think #8 would work too. There are two versions of the "base", a plain one, and one with a headphone icon. I did not test the one with the headphone icon myself, but thanks again to Campo_da_Gator for testing this out and confirming it also works well.

There is also a small cable management clip which can be mounted with some small screws.

The STEP file is included for easy remixing.

To print the cable boot, I used PRILINE TPU which is a less flexible TPU (but works well for this).
