I made this relative simple tensegrity design. I really hope you enjoy it. It is a real conversation starter at home or at the office.
They are also known as floating tables and defy gravity with their design. Comprising rods under tension, they create an illusion of weightlessness. Originating from the mid-20th century and popularized by Buckminster Fuller, they blend artistry with functionality. Minimalist and visually striking, tensegrity tables serve as captivating pieces of furniture, adding elegance to modern interiors while sparking conversations about their innovative design.
What do you need?
I've used small screw eyes and chains to make the tensegrity table function. Of course, you can also use strings or inconspicuous fishing line.
Dimensions
One half is 100x100x100 mm
Put the two together and the table is arround 150mm high.
