When open, a E26 / E27 Edison base is a shock hazard. It also can let dust dirt moisture and paint in the socket limiting its useful life.

The solution:

3 Different Types of light bulb safety blanks:

Long - Great for long fixtures and is easily removable, has a coin slot for extra grip just in case.

Short - Works for string lights to keep dust, dirt, and moisture out.

Tamper Resistant - Same as short, but keeps little hands out of it, easily removable with a screwdriver.

3 different filament settings:

PLA - Simple to Print - Recommended for indoor or cold climates only, does not have good resistance to direct sunlight.

PETG - Middle Ground - Moderate heat and UV resistance when printed in black.

ASA - Requires Enclosed Printer - UV and Heat resistant for years if not decades.

Safety and Disclaimer:

Make sure power is turned off before removing. Do not use conductive filament such as carbon fiber, or metal infused. These devices are highly resistant to moisture and contaminants, and are better than leaving them open in most cases; but not 100% impervious. Use at own risk, and under advisement of a professional if necessary.

I have a set of string lights on my patio that are slightly longer than I need, so I removed a few lights. This plug is the perfect thing to replace the bulbs and to make the socket weather resistant.

These are great! I had been looking for something like these in online stores and couldn’t find anything. I just got my first 3D printer and these were my second print. Now I don’t have to worry about accidentally hitting these empty fuse circuits!

Great print! Would be neat to see one that uses a minimal twist of threads and keeps as far away as possible from the electric contacts.

Added as "User Request at the bottom of the list" Let me know how it works, and if it's good, keep me in mind next boost cycle! Thank you for the suggestion!

Excellent. :) I printed 5 out and just sliced about 50% of the threads off. They still screw in and seal plenty tight still. Looking good.

The file is good, but the need for the brim is a bit annoying and adds some extra clean-up.

Unfortunately, I put it there because some people don't clean their beds properly, and give bad reviews too. There is no winning when you design a print profile or model.
