Dune - House Atreides Orn 200% + Stand + Painted

A remix of the only parts version. I scaled it up to 200% and painted it. Doing as a gift for a buddy, there are small annoying things to catch, which might not be so bad if I had a finer nozzle. Some post-processing work will be required. I used a scalpel I had lying around and I used brims which you NEED for some of the fine points and corners. This painted version is 4 colors, plus support filament. I hate Dune to begin with, and this makes me hate it SO MUCH more. But, it also got me to dig into settings and test things.

Ironing is turned on, Top Surfaces, and it worked great until the Flight Config Stand Faceplate. It looked like garbage…got all mottled-looking, not sure what happened there. Turn off ironing for that part specifically. Glue may be ideal as these larger parts start to highlight tolerances.

But, overall fun to work with as it was a learning curve from printing a Benchy and FlipperZero wifi board case.

Blue was a test of concept
Green was supposed to be dual color to try and get a camouflage effect…but didn't quite work, but as I did take some inspiration from Halo (he's also a Halo fan) I think it still worked out in a way.
The model is shown on a half sheet of plywood that I use for my chair. Please ignore the mess. No flight/landing gear as I already had packed it up for delivery. But gives you an idea of size. Working on 300%+ for possibly creating a drone version.
