Description

Made this pair of drill bit holder attachments for my trusty DCD800 since I like having half a dozen bits on me.  The DCD800 has the newest design for Dewalt drills along with the DCD805, DCD999, and DCD1007 (see links below for designs that fit other models), so these will work with all of those.

They're contoured to fit snugly and very securely, with an M3 screw (10mm long) and protruding nubs holding them on the same way that the belt clip attaches. Left and right attachments are unique due to the design of the drill. They're actually quite stable without screws entirely. I suggest using a material with some flex like ABS or ASA, but just about anything will work.

I had some pan head M3 screws kicking around so that's what I used in the photos but grabbing some flat headed screws at your local hardware store for a few cents will be even nicer.

**If you have a different Dewalt 20V drill model**, instead of making minor modifications to this design you can use this design, or if you have a 12V, this one.

I printed these even knowing my model was different. All I had to do was snap off one of the 3 “prongs” that go into the drill. fit nice !!

fits with a minor modification on a DCD709. one rail is narrower than the other two, a cut with a utility knife and it's fixed. Remember to use a countersunk screw, otherwise one part is unusable

I printed in ABS and it worked very well. Supports were necessary for me on the side struts. Fit perfect on the driver. Thanks

mixed on which of my tools it will fit on, but should be able to adjust by removing one of the insert tabs to make it work. Thought it came out a bit ugly with stringing, but turned out it only impacted the supports (which popped off nicely)

One side is upside down, I know. But printed it in Gold PETG and these are awesome! Thanks for the upload!

Print turned out great! After needing to remove one of the tabs, it fit the Dewalt DCD740 perfect! I don’t have any M3 x 10mm, but M3 x 8mm worked just fine!

Worked on a DCD796 with a little bit of trimming, used 8mm length screws instead of 10 just fine as well.
