Description

Much thanks to Reagantoby27 for helping me redesign and test the evolution from V1 to V3 and all its variants.

Holds a mag, at an angle.
Designed off of Glock 9mm mags, not sure what else it will fit. It "should" fit SW40 and 357 as well.
Inspired by the Recovery Tactical MG9 Angled Mag Pouch.

***Inside of the magwell in V3 & V3.1 are a series of bumps that can be sanded down if your magazines fit a little too tightly.

Variants:
V3: All in one package, just print V3 and Clamp. Its good enough.

V3.1: Has removable mag catch tabs. Print V3.1, the Tabs and Clamp. Tabs can be replaced if worn out or broken, can also be adjusted with a little heat for more or less clamping force. I have included blank tabs in case you want to customize your own tabs.

V3.2: Has an actual mag release to ensure mags cannot fall out. Print V3 MagLock, Mag Release and Clamp. The Mag Release can be reversed and used from either side of the grip depending on personal preference.

Hardware:
1x M4x30mm bolt and nut for picatinny mounting on all versions
2x M3x8 or 9 or 10mm bolt and nut for V3.1 tabs
1x Glock Magazine Catch Spring (38mm x 0.055"/1.3mm piano wire) for V3.2

My print settings:
*I have pre-oriented all of the parts to what I think will give you the best results, but you know your printer best.
50% gyroid infill, 6 walls, 5 top & bottom, supports on

History:
V1: Original release with fixed tabs and no clamp piece to properly grip picatinny rails.
V2: Attempted to fix the short comings of V1 at the request of Reagantoby27. Results were not satisfactory or even completely functional.
V3: As a result of the short comings of V2, Reagantoby27 and I heavily redesigned the tabs to make them work out of the box. The picatinny mount was switched from a fixed design to having a removable clamp piece that gripped picatinny rails for a more secure fit. We also added friction bumps inside the magwell that can easily be sanded down to adjust for a tighter or more loose fit on the magazines. The front hook was also narrowed down. Reagantoby27 is also responsible for the idea to have a version with an actual mag catch in it so that no tuning would be necessary for a secure fit.

Bonus:
I have included "V3.2-Mag_Release-NegativeCavity.step" in these files. It can be used to create other mag holders using the reversible mag release from this release. It should work for glock frames but then they could not take stock mag releases.

Update 07/26/2024:

Added V2 (reinforced tabs) STL and STEP.

Update 08/06/2024:

Added V3, V3.1 & V3.2

Update 02/09/2025:

Increased the thickness of the "Clamp" near the bolt to help prevent cracking.

Update 07/22/2025:

Added -B variants, they don't have the front hook.

Sounds good, I've never posted a bambu profile before so I don't even know how to do it.

the fitment of mag holder on frame is so suck, I think because picatinny and frame rail size are different, I cut a lot of ,and also heat a lot of, but the finish gun is so beautiful. hope the comp wont destroy the mag holder.

I believe you are correct, Glock rails are not always the same size as picatinny rails.

I am not sure if a glock 45 mag would fit in this as I do not have one. You could print one and see...

I got er done by increasing the size in slicer for my new Lc Carbine 45acp. How do I get the other models? Only one is shown when loading the slicer. I was able to make this work for 45acp glock mags. Settings are 110% and will fit glock(21) 45acp mags. Thanks

There are many files there, you may need to download the STLs and put them in your slicer manually.

Which version did you print?

Replying to @Maverick0197 :
version 3.2 has a hard time holding mags

That is strange, 3.2 is my preferred one because it holds the best. If it is loose you can always try adding some tape or the soft side of some stick on velcro to the inside to tighten it up.

Does anyone have a photo of the catch spring and where it should be placed?

It uses a Glock mag catch spring or a 38mm long piece of 1.3mm piano wire. It is installed in the same manner as a Glock.

Hey, this was in response to the print profile and was not about the model. Your model is great. I have uploaded a new print profile for this so others who use the bambu print profiles can just print your models as intended instead of with a picatinny rail poorly attached to the bottom if it.

Ah, I see now. Still getting used to maker world. Thank you for adding a print profile, I hope to be able to do that myself soon.
