Boost Me (for free)

This is a complete redesign of Big Mess o Wires Floppy Emu enclosure by Eduardo Correa Lima, Jeffrey Chang, themselves inspired by work from Javier Rivera (see here).

The original has a few issues, notably the fact that the four buttons keep falling inside the box. Also, I was not a fan of the esthetic, no indicators, no fillet or chamfer, so I added all of this. Here is the OnShape project.

To create the light pipes to bring the LEDs' light to the front, use a piece of transparent filament. Melt one of the extremities to create a transparent dome (I used a hot air soldering station, but a lighter works too) and fit the filament in the hole, cut it to size, and glue it in place with a drop of super glue (or melt the other side with a soldering iron).

The box is held closed by four 2.5 mm x 12 mm screws.

The filament I used is eSun ePLA-Matte Light Khaki that almost matches the famous Apple beige (#C2BDB0).

After 500 hours of printing with the original nozzle, I think I need to buy a new one...
