Description

This is a slim cash strap replacement for the Ridge wallet. It holds an AirTag which can be easily clipped in and removed again for battery changes. I removed the battery cover to make the holder thinner, this will make the Airtag weaker against fluids, dust etc.

Please make sure to unscrew the battery cover before inserting. It will not work with it on.

You can try inserting the Airtag upside down if you want to keep the cover on, but this is not tested!

Battery sizes

This holder will work with the included (and more common) 2035 battery type, this will make the holder 6.7mm thick. Also the bottom will bend a bit, which shouldn't affect it by any way.

I recommend using 2025 batteries, as those will fit perfectly in the holder and result in a slightly slimmer variant which sits flush against the strap itself. This results in a 6mm total thickness.

printed it and got it onto my ridge lite wallet! works great, I’m glad I was able to find this file. I almost printed one of those cards to slide into it, which would have taken up so much space, thank you!!

This was a great print. Just twist off the battery plate and slap it in. No rattling issues at all for me. I'm using the CR2032 battery and it's fine. If I had another wallet I'd print another one.

Awesome! Mind the warping when using the taller battery as it can bend the thin base over time. I had battery issues after 4-6 months with the 2032!

I'm too lazy to remove the battery cover so I just place it upside down and let the strap hold onto it just in case. Perfect

Strength Issue:the back part of where the airtag gets pushed into is super fragile, broke instantly

Could you please provide pictures of the broken part? What kind of battery did you use? Also which material did you use? The holder shouldn't be fragile as its flexible and also doesnt really hold and forces.

I threw it away, I used PLA, I used a normal battery, could be an issue on my part too, I kept the back cover as well.

Did you unscrew the battery cover before inserting? I hope I made it clear in the desc. that you should, it wont work with the cover on of course. If printed properly the back should hold a huge amount of force as its flexible. If you decide to try again, please let me know how it goes.
