Description

I lost the pin from one of these fasteners on my motorcycle and thought I would print a replacement. I decided to make the entire fastener.

[Update 3/18/2024] I added the .stl file for a release tool used when depressing the pin to remove the fastener. I used a piece of wire and pushed the pin all the way out of the fastener into the unknown which started me on this journey. No special instructions for printing the tool.

[UPDATE 1/13/2025] I want to make it clear that PETG (or ABS/ASA) should be used to print the fastener. The published print profile is for PETG. I know from experience PLA will have strength issues which is why the published print profiles are for PETG and ASA.

In addition, make sure you have calibrated your filament. This model has relatively close tolerances and the print needs to be true to size to work properly.
