Description

Update 03/24/2025
Today I uploaded version 3.0, which solves the issue of the hook breaking when closed.

This new version is magnetic and comes in three different sizes (25 mm, 30 mm, and 35 mm) to fit different toothbrushes.

Note: If you're short on time, I recommend downloading the V 2.0 or V 2.5

Update 01/01/2026

Hello everyone! Overall, version 2.0 works well, but in many cases the hook tends to break due to filament issues. Because of that, I made version 2.5, which requires super glue to attach the hook to the base.

It’s designed this way so the hook can be printed horizontally, which makes it much stronger, instead of vertically, which doesn’t help much.

I hope this helps, and Happy New Year!

Lately, I've noticed that they always upload the same STL file to all platforms and always encounter the same problem.

I took it upon myself to design a new case that solves the issue all previous models had, which is that they all open too easily.

After several failed attempts, I finally managed to make everything fit perfectly without the need for supports.

At the moment, i only created 3 models, but i will be uploading more models soon

Enjoy the 3D print

As always, have fun, and I'll be uploading more things soon.

(I recommend using pla+)

If you liked the design, check out my profile and subscribe, you won't regret it.

wouldn’t this be bad because of the micro plastic

toothbrush is made from nylon and plastic... we spit out most anyways. even toothpaste introduces micro plastics.

No, but the problem is that FDM prints have micropores (due to how they are printed) which facilitate mold growth

You are absolutely right.. it's not the microplastics themselves.. it's the bacteria that can accumulate between the micro-gaps

You must use super glue.

Hi, The security lock broke the first time I closed it. I did like the design and how it opens and closes. Thank you!

I just uploaded V2.0, which helps prevent it from breaking

Same for me (version 2). The latch broke on first use. But it still closes (though less securely)

because of layers the pin for locking snapped, fortunately the tolerances are good so it snaps good

That issue has already been resolved, and I've uploaded a new file and, for the kids, one with superheroes

Works great! there is more play in the hinges than I had expected but so far so good. It fits my brush reasonably well. I think the hole of the neck of the brush could be smaller. Thanks for the great design!

I gave it a try on my new P1S and the hinge will not fold. It is stuck together. I wish these type of prints were printed as separate parts and then assembled.

I just printed mine and it works perfectly, did you try to break it in? Most print in place hinges are tough the first time and then smooth, I printed 5 of them all came out perfect on my X1C, I think it may be the way you are printing it, its meant to be print in place not separate

my printer probably needs some calibration. I tried to break it over but the sides just broke and the hinge did not move. I went ahead and printed a different design that was separate pieces and assembled them with a filament string as the hinge pin.
