Commodore 1541 Transit Card Template

Do not insert this printed template itself into a drive. While it may work out OK, I'm not sure how the printed surface or any defects would affect the head and other internals.

Template to mark and cut transport cards for the Commodore 1541 and 1571 floppy drives. The card is inserted into the drive to protect its mechanism when shipping.

Printing:

Settings shouldn't be critical, but be sure to allow the print to fully cool before removing from the build plate to avoid warping it while still warm.

To use:

1. Place template on a piece of thick, but not corrugated, cardboard or plastic
2. Trace around the outside, inner hub circle and TOP text
3. Cut out the marked card and carefully trim the inner hub opening
4. All done!

Notes:

The card is not symmetrical, so be sure to mark the top side. The template with text makes this easy.
