Rootlurker is one of the original creatures from the Spore Horrors – Wave 1 collection.

Hidden deep within ancient fungal forests, Rootlurker remains motionless for years at a time, blending seamlessly into the infected landscape. Its twisted wooden body and sprawling roots have become one with the forest floor, making it nearly impossible to distinguish from the surrounding vegetation.

Legends tell of entire expeditions disappearing after entering Rootlurker's territory. Those who venture too far into the spore-infested woods rarely return.

Character Lore

Rootlurker is believed to be one of the oldest fungal entities in existence.

Its body slowly merged with roots, bark and mushroom growth over countless decades. While appearing to be nothing more than a decaying tree stump, it patiently waits for unsuspecting travelers to wander into its domain.

Once awakened, Rootlurker spreads rot and fungal corruption throughout the forest, consuming everything in its path.

Many have entered its woods.
