Description

Remixed to thin the walls for printing large. The threads remain the same. The uploaded profile is tweaked stock .2mm profile to utalize the least material possible without compromising the strength/final result. ~800g of PLA and 23hr.

The part measures 253x253mm XY, 198mm and 189mm Z. This is approximately 540% scale from the original.

Be aware, this will take some time to slice. Hit slice all and brew some tea.

Wasn't sure what to do with them, because they are indeed massive. I added some dragons and turned them into banks.

Printed with a couple of holes in the walls. I think they were to thin

I thought I got them all of this v3 but it seems I still missed a few. There are a few places that did not mesh correctly giving 0 volume regions. I will uploaded v4 soon, hopefully, getting the last of the holes.

Uploaded v4 which hopefully caught all the holes and generated a proper close mesh. No error were found by PS, BS, or OS. My slices showed no holes but I'm not perfect. If you see any please point them out. The new print profile is, at time of writing, being verified.

it's exactly what I needed, but it doesn't scale down well at all. if the walls were just a tiny bit thicker, it would be negligible for space inside the egg but allow to scale all the way down

This was scales up in CAD and then had the walls thinned so it could be printed at the maximum size of the bed without using a huge amount of material. You can try and original version and scale that up to see if that suits your size needs better without using kilos of material.

Is this sized to fit a standard articulated dragon?

This has no correlation with an articulated dragon. This is a dragon egg container that is scaled up from the original. It was modified to have thinner walls with some thread modification to minimize material and maintain functionality.

Looks very good, but the wall at top of the egg was a bit thin
