Description
1 1/4" (32mm) Air Admittance Valve
- Purpose: Prevents siphonage and loss of water seals in traps, eliminating gurgling sounds and protecting living spaces from foul sewer gases.
- Operation: Automatically opens to admit fresh air into the drainage system when negative pressure (vacuum) occurs during water discharge, then seals tightly under positive or zero pressure.
- Application: Ideal for individual fixtures such as bathroom sinks, vanities, or bar sinks connected to a 32mm waste pipe.
- Material: Manufactured from high-impact ABS or PETG plastic, resistant to household chemicals and temperature fluctuations.
- Connection Type: Typically features a 1 1/4" threaded (NPT/BSP) connection or a solvent weld/push-fit socket designed to fit standard 32mm pipes directly.
