Description

This detailed 200-l bung drum expands my 1:14.5 Logistics Series and was designed to fit Bruder vehicles and many other RC construction, agricultural, and logistics models.

The model is based on a classic 200-l steel bung drum with its characteristic reinforcement rings and large and small bungs. This makes it ideal for workshops, construction sites, warehouses, industrial facilities, or agricultural dioramas.

Like many of my models, this barrel was designed to be assembled without glue. The three-part construction ensures easy assembly and a clean look without visible glue seams.

Print Profiles

Three print profiles are included in the download:

• Both bungs closed (Standard)
• Large bung open, small bung closed
• Both large and small bungs open

This allows everyone to choose the variant that best suits their desired application or diorama.

For variants with an open large bung, a matching bung lid is also included. This allows the barrel to be combined with my barrel pump, for example.

Assembly

The barrel consists of three individual parts:

• Barrel body
• Bottom
• Lid

For assembly, the bottom and lid are slightly angled and then pressed evenly into the barrel body with the thumbs until they are fully engaged.

All plug connections have been designed so that the model can generally be assembled without glue.

Since each filament and printer has slightly different tolerances, the fit may vary. This means that the parts may fit a little tighter or a little looser depending on the material.

If the fit on your print is a bit too loose, one to two small drops of superglue are sufficient to secure the connection permanently. However, the model was deliberately developed for assembly without glue.

The model was tested exclusively with PLA.

This model is part of my 1:14.5 Logistics Series. The goal of this series is to gradually develop a realistic and compatible logistics and workshop system for Bruder and RC models.
