Description
I printed this in pla and if you don't plan to use more powerfull led's or led's at full white power you should be good with pla .
To print you don't need an ams and you can add pauses to switch colors on the needed layer . This design would need 2 color switches .
The assembly is quite easy , you print the biggest bottom peace , add your led strip (the hardest part ) , and secure all other inserts with a few drops of CA glue . Use the keyholes in rear to hang the led light on the wall .
To get the effect i used WLED . I counted how many led's i have in each part of the design , and created a segment for each compartment ,then added the desired effects.
To instal WLED go to https://install.wled.me , after install you can controll led's through web browser or app via wifi .
On the esp32 i used vng pin for positive , gnd for negative and d4 for data (Check in wled app if the data pin matches ) .
But im no electrician please search on google or ask ai how to wire up an esp board correctly .
To make this sign you will need :
Led strip 5v ws2812b ,
ESP32 controller with WLED firmware .
type c cable for ESP32.
If your'e using power from esp32 without an external electricity source use a limiter in WLED app to not overheat the board .
